In Inside Out, we continue our journey through the book of James by exploring what real faith looks like in everyday life. James shows us that when Jesus changes our hearts, it transforms how we treat people, what we say, and the choices we make. This series will challenge us to move beyond simply believing the right things and begin living out a faith that works from the inside out.

Main Point: Real faith doesn’t play favorites.
Big Idea/Summary: When we view others from an inside-out perspective, we don’t look at what they have, but rather who they are. James teaches that, because of the ways Jesus transforms us, we don’t treat anyone as anything other than who they really are – a person made in the image of God.

5.10 -WEEK 2 – FAITH IN ACTION
Text: James 2:14-26
Main Point: Real faith produces real action.
Big Idea/Summary: Trusting in God isn’t just an intellectual thing – it’s a heart thing that expresses itself in physical and tangible ways. This week, James is teaching us how not to have a dead faith, but rather a faith that is alive and vibrant!

5.17 -WEEK 3 – WATCH YOUR MOUTH!
Text: James 3:1-12
Main Point: When Jesus changes your heart, your mouth follows.
Big Idea/Summary: When Jesus saves you, He wants to transform you… ALL of you! Even the parts that seem hardest to control. In chapter 3, James addresses the difficulties of controlling our tongue, but he also teaches how Jesus gives us self-control.

5.24 -WEEK 4 – TRUE WISDOM
Text: James 3:13-18
Main Point: Wisdom from above leads to peace, not pride.
Big Idea/Summary: There are different types of wisdom. Some of us know people who are really smart, but don’t know when to keep their mouths shut. But there are some people who have a quiet wisdom. One that doesn’t look to seek its own way, but instead makes earth a little more like Heaven because of their humility towards others. This week, we’ll see where these two types of wisdom lead us.
